Murder At Rutherford House – September 10-11, 2010

Pattaya Players (Home of Pattaya's Professional Amateurs) invites you to attend their newest murder mystery dinner production entitled, "Murder at Rutherford House" at Indian By Nature Restaurant in Jomtien on Friday, September 10th and Saturday, September 11th.

This production is the fifth of their uniquely interactive theatrical offerings, written by Peter Depietro and directed by Ray Lightbown. Upon arrival, each guest will be given a character name and bio and will be encouraged to act out their part in conjunction with the cast members who will be milling about. In Pattaya Players tradition, prizes will be given to the most accurate as well as the most creative sleuths of the evening!

Synopsis: Lady Millicent Rutherford haughtily greets her guests and she and others sketch the outline of the mystery. It has been five years since Lord Rutherford died and his heirs are still battling over his estate. Tonight the will shall be read and at least one of the survivors will commit murder. Over cocktails and dinner, you will have the opportunity to mingle with the other guests, spotting such characters as the Baroness von Keepsemfrumfloppen and Ruby Pinkbottom. Suddenly, a gunshot will reveal the evening's first corpse.

Much like Pattaya Players past successful murder mysteries, "Murder at Rutherford House," is played strictly for laughs. Audience members are encouraged to dress fancily and interact with the guests and players as the plot unfolds around them. In fact, many murders will take place on the evenings in question – and one might even by your own! During the play, the audience is asked to join in by studying clue cards, which may reveal the identity of the killer. Though audience members are encouraged to "get in character" and join in on the fun – they may also choose to just sit back and enjoy the show.

The show runs only two nights and tickets must be purchased in advance as seating is limited. To purchase tickets either stop by Indian By Nature during regular restaurant hours or email us at pattayaplayers@gmail.com. The doors will open at 6:00 pm. The cost for an entire evening of food and fun is just 1,000 Baht per person (exluding beverages).
