Boyz Town "Search for a Star"

On Thursday February 26, 2009, the Pattaya Gay Festival held a "Search For A Star" talent competition in Boyz Town, South Pattaya.

Eighteen entries took part in the competition coming from Pattaya and Bangkok hoping to win a share of the 23,000 Baht prize money.

Over 400 people were in Boyz Town to witness the event and enjoy the entertainment. Entrance to the soi was 300 Baht which included your first drink.

Apart from the talent contest entertainment was also provided by Jay Veerayano (who was also one of the judges), Toi from Le Café Royale, Rich Bitch Jordan Rivers from Benidorm, Jackie from Ireland and the dancers from Boyz Boyz Boyz and Copa.

With Jay on the judges table were James and Lazlo and "Dolly John" who is no stranger to talent!

The winner of the "Don't Call Us Award or Booby Prize was Wat. In third place was Tum followed by Jo Jo in second place, but the winners by far were dancers Tan the Star whose acrobatic dancing, complete with blow-torches, enthralled everybody.

The prize money for the competition was donated by Ambiance and Boyz Boyz Boyz, Copa, Le Café Royale, Oscars and Panorama.

A raffle was held with a motorcycle, donated by Neil Bernard, as first prize which was won by Kim at Casa Pascal. As well as the motorcycle Mr Bernard also donated 100,000 Baht.

The event is expected to have raised in excess of 600,000 Baht for the Pattaya Gay Festival who raise money for the Heartt2000 Foundation for people in Thailand living with HIV Aids and other local charities that they support.
