Despite some heavy showers the planned Teddy Bears' Picnic took place on Tuesday, December 18.

Approximately 500 teddy bear's filled one half of the terrace at Panorama in Boyz Town and waited patiently to be photographed by local newspapers and television companies.

They had all been kindly donated to the 2007 Teddy Bear Appeal organized this year by Oscars and Panorama of Boyz Town in conjunction with Thais4Life and Balcony Pub in Bangkok.

Also 33,000 baht in cash was donated which will be used to purchase rice and other urgently needed supplies.

Between now and Christmas Day they will be distributed to local orphanages.

The organizers said that they were overwhelmed by the response and would like to thank everybody who donated a bear and cash.
