Oscars Night at Oscars

Oscars in Boyz Town was full to capacity last night (September 29, 2008) for their first Oscars Night with Cabaret Show.

The audience were treated to a show by Maisie Trollette,
Miss Jason and recording artiste Jo Frances.

The quick-witted banter by Maisie and Jason, often directed at members of the audience, kept everybody in stitches and the wonderful singing of Jo caused many passers-by to stop outside the bar.

After the show David and Peter of Oscars presented Oscar statuettes and certificates to members of the gay community that he personally wanted to reward.

This was followed by an auction of some exceptional bottles of wine and spirits donated by: Boyz Boyz Boyz, Le Café Royale, Panorama & Funny Boys and Kevin & Tam. The proceeds of this auction was to benefit Thais4Life and their work with the Baan Jing Jai Orphanage.

Jason, Jo and Maisie presented David with a cheque for 96,000 baht which they had raised in England and the Balcony also handed over 37,000 baht that was raised at their cabaret night the previous week.

In total Thais4Life and Baan Jing Jai received 170,000 baht from the evenings entertainment.

So a big thank you to everyone.
