Mr Oscar 2008

On Sunday, December 28, members of the Oscars staff competed for the prestigious title of Mr Oscar 2008.

Fourteen of the popular Boyztown bar's staff danced solo and paraded amongst the customers hoping to win votes.

Customers were able to select their favourite boy by handing roses to them.
 

After several rounds of voting the race was on and it became apparent that Ae and Boy were the ones that would have to fight it out.

At the final count Boy won the title by one point.

Apart from a trophy and title Boy won 3,000 Baht sponsored by Panorama and Funny Boys, with Ae receiving a trophy and 2,000 Baht sponsored by Oscars.

Barman Top won an award for the Best Costume receiving
1,000 Baht sponsored by Oscars. Top made the costume himself from cutting up old magazines.

All the competitors who did not win a prize each received
500 Baht generously donated by James and Laszlo.

It was a fun night, hosted by Mr Norman Vernon and adjudicated by Mr Vic and one which the staff obviously enjoyed before heading off to karaoke after the bar closed.
