Thursday, September 18 saw the official opening night of the Copa Showbar in Boyz Town, plus it was a birthday celebration for joint-owner Peter Storrow.

The club, formerly Throb/Splash, has undergone a six million baht make-over and it was packed to capacity for the official opening celebration.

The outside of the bar was decked with balloons where a gala buffet was served, complete with ice sculpture of the Copa logo.

Owners Peter and Glen were presented with flowers and gifts by local venue owners and friends.

At 10pm the erotic underwater show "What Lies Beneath" commenced where one swimmer left the tank wearing far less than when he dived in!

The Copa Showboys entertained the audience with some sexy and amusing routines. Special guest artiste Miss Jason from the UK was next and delighted the audience with her singing and comedy.
 

Then there was a surprise (some would say shocking) appearance by "Gert and Daisy" (alias Peter and Glen) who sang two songs.

And it wouldn't be a birthday without a cake, so Peter was presented with, not one, but two cakes because "all of the candles would not fit on one cake".
