Copa is one year old . . .
Friday September 18, 2009 was the first anniversary of the Copa
Showbar in Boyz Town plus it was the birthday of Peter Storrow, one
of the owners of the very popular bar.
Many local businesses arrived with flowers and presents for both
Peter and Glen.
It
was standing room only as the popular Beer Lao break-dancers opened
the show. They really enjoyed working on a stage as the risk of
being struck by a passing motorcycle was greatly reduced.
They were followed by the Copa Show boys who performed seven
routines, four of which were brand new, and delighted the audience.
Wild West Boys sent their show boys to perform two special numbers
on the Copa stage as a special gift for Peter and Glen.
It
was then time for the highlight of the show – Miss Jason from
England – who was flown in especially for the evening. Jason's
singing and witty banter had everyone in stitches.
The
evening ended with the presentation of a Birthday Cake to Peter
Storrow. As Jason pointed out: "With that number of candles on a
cake it must have taken a flame-thrower to light them all."
A
fantastic night. Congratulations Copa.
