Christmas Eve 2009 on Boyz Town

Over 200 children, three Santa Claus (of various gender!), carol singing orphans, a Christmas cake with Winnie The Pooh on it plus SNOW! Just your usual Christmas Eve on Boyz Town in Pattaya.

On December 24, 2009 the annual children's Christmas Party took place in Boyz Town with over 150 children of staff members and friends, plus 50 children from the local Baan Jing Jai orphanage in attendance.

At 7pm the snow began to fall Father and Mother Christmas appeared to the delight of the children as they queued at Santa's Grotto to receive a gift (or in some cases three).

The party is sponsored by Boyz Town businesses Ambiance/ Boyz Boyz Boyz, Copa Showbar, Funnyboys/Panorama, Oscars, Le Café Royale and Amor with an extra donation of 10,000 Baht this year from good friends James and Lazlo.

The children from Jing Jai sang Christmas Carols in the street and were presented with a Christmas Cake with a picture of Winnie The Pooh on it, kindly donated by Mr Vic.

After which they crowded into Oscars for refreshments provided by David and Peter.

Baan Jing Jai is a local orphanage supported by Thais4Life and is home for over 60 children. The administrator for the orphanage is Khun Paeg Ta (a remarkable lady) who also attended the party.

After the kids had left the street it was time for the adults to party in the bars well into the early hours of Christmas Day.

At 11.30pm the Oscars Christmas Goldrush draw was held for a unique piece of gold jewelry valued at 85,000 Baht donated by John from Hawaii.

The lucky ticket was drawn by Kirby of PattayaGayTV.com and the winning number was ticket number 8 which was purchased by Tim from Panorama/Funny Boys.

The lucky draw raised nearly 70,000 Baht for Baan Jing Jai and the Redemptorist Blind School in Naklua.

So a big thank you to everyone who purchased tickets and to John from Hawaii for donating the prize.

At midnight another "Mother Christmas" arrived in the soi delivering gifts to the many customers at Oscars and Le Café Royale.

Below is a gallery of photographs of the evening.
